We have been getting lots of questions lately regarding which of our brands are Made in the USA. Almost all of them are with a few big exceptions. The very popular Mother-ease, Aristocrat and Bummis diapers and covers are all made way up north in Canada. Imse Vimse (fun fact: Imse Vimse means “Itty Bitty” in Swedish) is a Swedish brand and Snappis, like the amazing World Cup we all just witnessed, come from South Africa.

Here is a list of some of our absolute favorite diapers, covers and accessories proudly Made in the USA.

I cloth diapered both of my children. I began cloth diapering my first child when she was 6 months old and my second from the day he as born. I loved cloth diapering and I never gave it a second thought. My son never had a disposable diaper on his butt! My daughter is currently almost seven years old and truth be told, I never thought we would still have cloth diapering items around the house. However, she still has trouble with night wetting and despite our best efforts, she is wet every morning. We have chosen to continue using cloth for her instead of switching to the disposable night time bed wetting pants available on the market. We currently use Happy Heiny’s training pants stuffed with a premium sized indian prefold and a microfiber insert. This system works great for us!! They come in a rainbow of colors and I’ve been washing diapers now for so long, that it seems normal and I never really gave it a second thought regarding the continued diaper laundry. Then one day, one of my friends was talking about how much money she was spending on night time pullups every week for her bed wetter and I got to thinking that this system that we are doing is absolutely wonderful! It is second nature to us, and we are saving so much money. The prefolds and inserts we already had from our diapering systems, so all we had to purchase was the actual Happy Heiny’s trainers. I did the math. Dear daughter was potty trained at the age of 3, so we’re talking about approximately 4 years of buying night time pull ups — a minimum of $600. I would advocate for anyone out there with a persistant night time wetter, to use cloth bedwetter pants. Even if you didn’t use cloth diapers, the cloth bedwetter pants can be such a huge savings, they are definitely worth a try especially these days when money is so tight for everyone. The nice thing about the pocket trainers is that you can customize the absorbency to how much your child wets at night. If he or she is a heavy wetter, you can use more stuffing. If you were turned off by the idea of cloth diapering because you thought you wouldn’t have time during the infancy year, or couldn’t handle rinsing poopy diapers — those hurdles are over — and you can definitely do this and save your family some money and help out the environment while you are at it!
